At Welte Construction, we’ve been working on fine Bay Area homes since 1981, and we put that building experience to work each time we begin a project.
EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE
A new kitchen, designed by Koch Architects of Berkeley, replaces a dark, confined space with an open design and features Plyboo cabinets and leather-finished granite. A floating ceiling of obscure glass conceals a skylight system above. A new enlarged entry and dining area complete the project.
Built in 1928, the main house features hand-hewn beams, copper gutters, and a slate roof. The new pool house deserves the same uncompromising attention to detail.
Located in the rear garden of a classic California bungalow, this studio is designed and built to blend seamlessly into the landscaping.
We invite you to experience the difference you’ll feel when you work with a builder committed to providing total service and your complete satisfaction, from first meeting through to final completion.
Complete Home Remodel
This mid-century modern home is completely updated with an enlarged kitchen and family room. All baths are reconfigured; windows and doors replaced; and electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems brought up to code. A new, private guest wing retreat -- including a bedroom and bath -- is created away from the main living area of the home.
Berkeley Hills Interior
Massive, site-built, Douglas fir trusses crown the main floor living and dining rooms.
Berkeley Hills Exterior
An extremely demanding double lot in the Berkeley hills presents an engineering and access challenge.
Napa Guest House
Built on the grounds of an old Napa farm, this guest house borrows design elements and cues from the main house, including cottage windows and similar exterior details.
A complete home remodel, designed by Alameda architect Norman Sanchez, created new open spaces with improved flow, a new kitchen, new bathrooms, and a new private master bedroom suite all within the original footprint of the home.
Expanding the floor space of this 450-square-foot cottage, the partially-covered deck allows for outdoor living during most of the year.
Alameda Shingle House
